Light is crucial to life, no question about it. Without light, sight is impossible and without sight, living becomes survival. The Bible says “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Prov 29:18)

Why is sight so important? our vision opens the world to us, shows us beauty, shows us where to go and where not to go, makes us aware of those around us, aware of danger and shows us blessings that we might have missed if we only relied on our other four senses. And without light, you cant see any of these things.

If light is this important physically how important is it then spiritually? To show us our sins, our need of a Saviour and the way to hope.

The Bible says “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23) Is that true? Let’s take a test.

Have you ever lied? (twisting the truth counts too!)

Stolen anything? (value is irrelevant.)

Hated a person? (Jesus said that hatred is murdering a person in your heart.)

If the answer is,“Yes” to each of these questions then you are by your own admission a lying, thieving, murderer, and we’ve only looked at 3 of the 10 Commandments!

God said in the Bible,

“Thou shalt bear no false witness”

“Thou shalt not steal”

“Thou shalt not kill”

So how will you look on Judgement Day? Will you go to Heaven for the sinless individuals or will you go to Hell for those who break God’s commands?You know you’re guilty and on your way to Hell. But that’s not God’s will for you.

God has to punish your wickedness, “the wages of sin is death…” (Rom 6:23) “The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD:” (Prov 15:9), but out of His love for you He provided a way for you to be forgiven. God sent His Son Jesus Christ, the one whose name so many blaspheme, to die in your place for every thing you’ve ever done and will do wrong. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death once and for all so that you don’t have to go to Hell when you die. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."(John 3:16)

Because of Jesus’ sacrifice you can accept God’s free gift of everlasting life free from sin and full of light.

All you need to do is recognise that you have sinned against the Almighty God and therefore deserve to be judged for your wrong doings. Then you must repent of you sinful ways and turn away from them and towards Jesus. Now you must ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to save you from eternal damnation. The Bible is clear that God will save you if you ask Him no matter who you are or what you’ve done. Please repent today, you are not guaranteed a tomorrow.

The Bible promises:

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."(Rom 10:13)

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
